Reporter Hilary Saunders for American roots music magazine No Depression interviewed Jewel about her museum show at Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas where she appears as a hologram in a Proto Epic unit, interpreting the themes of the museum-wide takeover she orchestrated. The show included her own work, and work chosen from the museum’s collection by Ruth Asawa, Fred Eversley, Julie Mehretu, Mickalene Thomas, Sam Gilliam. “I was so lucky to work with a fantastic team that helped realize my vision. From the folks at ProtoHologram to Nova Sky Stories, to the curators Alejo Benedetti and Austin Bailly and the entire team at Crystal Bridges,” she said.
