In a story about Carlos Santana having to cancel tour dates, the Las Vegas Review Journal’s John Katsilometes brings up a perfect solution when he talks to singer and regular Strip headliner Matt Goss about his plans to tour via Proto hologram. “This is the future!” Goss says. It’s not just speculative: the story points out that Goss has talked to Proto execs and seeks to follow Ellen DeGeneres and Howie Mandel in using the original holoportation device. Goss even proposes a hologram duet with Rat Packer Dean Martin, which prompts Katsilometes to say, “We’ll need hologram Scotch!”
