The Florida Times-Union’s Alexandria Mansfield wrote about the installation of Proto at the Jacksonville International Airport featuring Mayor Deegan greeting passengers in six different languages. Jacksonville is one of the first major U.S. cities to use this type of holographic communication in a public space with a six-month agreement with the airport that the city “hope[s] to expand from there,” according to a city spokesperson, including the opportunity to put other prominent faces and messages in the box, from the Jacksonville Jaguars to tourism messages.
