Clément Ghys 0f Le Monde, wrote about the version of Alberto Giacometti’s The Nose that couldn’t be moved to the exhibition in Paris at the Fondation Giacometti, “But the sculpture is there, in the form of a hologram. The work was carefully scanned, thanks to the technology of the company Proto, based in Los Angeles and considered one of the most advanced in the sector.” The writer goes on to say that “This is not Proto’s first burst of brilliance,” and explains earlier hologram projects with Proto and Christie’s beaming an Edgar Degas sculpture to Hong Kong.
