Loughborough University has opened a suite of digital learning spaces that focus on four key areas of technology: AI, simulation and modelling; extended reality learning (XRL); robotics; and 3D data capture and motion. The three DigiLabs, which are housed in refurbished spaces across the UK-based university’s campus, are designed to equip students with skills and experiences for the future of work. The installed technology includes two life-sized Proto Hologram devices plus two miniature versions. Loughborough is the first school in the UK to utilize Proto technology.
