Proto Hologram March 2026 Newsletter

Proto Hologram Blog & Newsletter Banner

Welcome to this month’s edition of the Proto Hologram newsletter.  This month, the signal is clear: spatial computing is moving from concept to real-world impact.  From Skechers reimagining retail, to appearances at Coachella, to a feature in Politico exploring its role in politics, the momentum is building across industries.  We’re also seeing it extend into airports, music, and healthcare – pointing toward a future where presence is more accessible, scalable, and meaningful.

“This is just the beginning of what this machine, and what Howie and other personalities can do.  With 6,000 Skechers stores globally, there is plenty of room for expansion.”

– Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers

At the Manhattan Beach, CA flagship store of the Fortune 500 brand, Howie Mandel now greets guests from a Proto Luma and invites them to take a selfie with him – once they do, they can upload the photo from a QR code and get a substantial discount on their purchases.  It’s the first permanent installation with a major retailer and the first interaction.  Skechers President, Michael Greenberg, told Women’s Wear Daily he wants to see the program expanded to many more of their 6,000 stores, and to continue to explore the kinds of interactions Proto makes possible. Howie joined the execs in person at a gala opening party.
